VPN Upgrade

I've noticed over the last few months that the VPN service from RAMHost is getting slower and slower.  When I first signed up, it was pretty good.  No issues, some days were slow, but that's the nature of the beast.

Lately however it seems that EVERY day is slow...sometimes so slow to the point that it just doesn't even work.  Disconnecting and reconnecting doesn't help, but connecting to another service for VPN works just fine.

Are they any plans to upgrade the VPN service?

Re: VPN Upgrade

Hello,

I am not seeing any speed issues with the VPN service.

That said, we do have plans to add more VPN locations and extra VPN features such as an HTTP proxy and a full on PPTP VPN option. We will start rolling that out in May.

Re: VPN Upgrade

Ok, maybe it's my connection to the VPN through my work provider.  Loading pages, even the google homepage is horribly slow...and eventually just grinds to a halt.

Downloading the same file you list above, I also get very decent speeds.

I will try at home this evening and see what happens.  I wouldn't doubt it's something to do with my work provider and the hops they make to get to the VPN...but connecting to a VPN in Europe, there is never any problems.
